Chorus
Party over here nobody's over there
Can anybody smell war in the air
Ohhh < Crush indo
Blaze through it No one really cares
Verse
Blow up the page with the ink
I'm coming through with a drink
Not one to make a stink
Not drunk I'm on the brink
Throw shorty there a wink
She likes the way I think
Little does she know i'm trying to make her friend jealous
so I leave with them both in a blink
Me and zach are in sync
we got their faces turning pink
we got em talking to their shrink
cuz they ain't even in our rink
we holding money like brinks
so you could go ahead and jinx
can't stop us like the U.S. Army
ain't stopping til they blow up the sphinx
Chorus
Party over here nobody's over there
Can anybody smell war in the air
Ohhh < Crush indo
Blaze through it No one really cares
Verse
Operation take our cash
Make us think life's a blast
It'll bite us in the ass
Soldiers dying in iraq
we got the leisure to relax
they chargin all of us a tax
spend our money on weapons and war
while we sit here funding all that
whips still running on gas
wish they were running on trash
waste is piled in to stacks
can't even drink out the tap
water level rises and they laugh
Katrina started killing all the blacks
They stranded poor people when the
hurricane came but fixed up cali in a flash
Verse
People from the left and to the right
Tro your hands in the sky
Let out your best war cry
Get out of debt or die
Poor people on the rise
Show everybody we decide
how things go around here in this nation
we make the bulk of the whole population
Criminals enforce all the crimes
Critical thoughts are out of time
Miracles are funny punch lines
Jokes are life itself on the grind
Keep dancing drinking the war away
Things will never change

As far as keepers go, she's got a decent soul
I wouldn't take her home for family to meet her tho
She ain't the least a ho, but two or three of those--
and she's going home with any idiot in recent clothes
She's 20 teen years old, doing heaps of blow
she never buys it but she needs it every week or so
Front row at the show she wants to see up close
She tries to emulate the models in the videos
she thinks it's subtle work but she's a bus-ker
Throwing her talent out to see if it fills up her purse
she couldn't love from birth, she don't know what she's worth
she hates herself more than corporation cover girls
I walk up to her, with a couple words
she had the fucking nerve, to tell me what she heard
>the rest of it I don't remember it was just a blur
But i woke up beside her sleeping through the morning birds
She's a cash crop, working her ass off
She got a phd drinking in a half top
at pretentious bars, she tries to set the bar
Only getting far with tourists in their rental cars
An alcoholic with expensive taste kinda sucks
the life out of you when you don't have the time to love
a country girl at heart sick of all the city boys
she thinks about an ex, she was too busy for
magazines say she's anything but powerful
sex in the city is her only love councilor
her tears become the only liquid in the salad bowl
and that was when she met somebody of her caliber
I told her she should use the knowledge she has
cuz not everybody ending up in colleges grad
She said that if we did it it would bother her dad--
She downed her drink and told me nothing's really hotter than that
HIT IT
After a lot of booze I work off instincts
who wrote the jungle book, rudyard kipling
I get raunchy on too many mixed drinks
talking to a scenester, playing with her lip ring
I know the signs so I grab her by the hand
hit the dance floor, and over-analize her pants
she calls me a player, i say i got layers
she says she's got a taser I say don't be a hater
she gos chill yo, I'm just fucking around
I'm like, that's cool so how drunk are you now
She's all, I could last for a couple more rounds
I go, I'm gonna leave but you can come if you're down.
She says, I didn't come here alone though I got a friend
we met up with her and she turned out to be a ten
they started making out in front of me and then we left
In the morning I made plans to go out again

Journey

Well you can say where your journeys gonna end
But it's the journey itself that's gonna matter my friend
You could spend your whole life asking everybody else
But the only good questions you should ask yourself
if you're talking in circles you'll wear yourself out
Cuz your silence says more than you running your mouth
I know it's hard to wait for what you trying to get
But working hard for what you want beats living in regret
You don't have to be right all the time to be strong
Just never be scared that you're gonna be wrong

Pyramid

The records still play the people still dance
Don't tell me we're fully controlled
The water gets drank the children still laugh
It's not like we're losing our souls
The coffee is fresh the ocean is big
We're not really doing so bad
The lies are in place the papers be chased
Right out of the citizens hands
I wish my clock was a pyramid
I wish we all were taken serious
I wonder if anybody's hearing us
Our generation fears enough…
Sun still shines the grass still grows
It's not like we don't have a chance
The music is good the vehicle goes
I wonder how long it will last…
